Hello there!
My name is Christine and I love to sew!
I'm a 28 year old stay-at-home mom to my adorable 3 year old son.
I've been married to my wonderful husband for 5 and a half years now.
We have two dogs, a boxer a long-haired chihuahua and we also have a cat and two fish.
We live in a smallish town (biggest one in the county!) in Northern Illinois.
I really only started learning to quilt 6 months ago. Before that I only thought I knew what I was doing!
I love my Janome!
If I had a million dollars I would probably spend half of it on fabric! Oh it would be bad! :-P
Hmmm...What else?
I don't care if my quilts aren't perfect. Quite honestly I prefer that they aren't.
I've taken up a third of my living room as my "sewing room" and wouldn't have it any other way.
I hate spiders and snakes!
I can be rather sarcastic!
I will buy whole fabric collections because I like the way they look together, even if I really don't care for some of the individual prints.
I guess that's it for now. I hope you like my blog and can put up with my rambling from time to time! I can't wait to meet you!
Christine
Hi I found you through Lily's quilts, your blog looks great :)
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the aqua and red blocks you've been making
Hello!
ReplyDeleteFound your through Lilys Quilts. You sound a lot like me...16 years ago. Enjoy your little fellow while he is little. It goes way too quickly.
I think I would still buy fabric too if I won the lotto too!
ReplyDeleteHello, I found you via Lily's. I look forward to reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteHi - I've popped over from Lily's Quilts too. Looking forward to following your blog.

Oh, but this is a great idea! Hi there, I'm Jan from Cornwall, UK. Quilting, sewing and crafting obsessive. Also like to blog a bit too :)
ReplyDeleteMy blog is not new but I have also joined up for the meet-up!
ReplyDeleteOf course, I was already a follower of your blog so it's good to see you again!
I came over here from Lily's, but then realized I was in the first rainbow swap with you and that I had already gushed over your quilt! (I'm on flickr as shimmyblisster and over at Throw a Wench in the Works...link at Lily's.)
ReplyDeleteWow only a third of your living room? I claimed the whole thing months ago!! I look forward to following you!
ReplyDeleteI found your blog though Lily's and look forward to see more of your quilts.
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky you got to stay in the living room - I got kicked out for taking up too much room and making too muc noise *LOL*
Love the colourful blocks I came from lily's blog.
ReplyDeleteI came over from Lily's blog. I love your quilts you made for Kayce and Katie. How long did you say you have been quilting. I hope mine turn out that good also.
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, I found your blog over at Lily's. I love how colorful your quilts are. I am with you on most of your introduction facts, especially the "if I had a million bucks..." and I hate spiders and snakes so much that I am worried if I'll survive moving to Texas (coming from a country that has no poisonous animals). Hope to hear from you. Sana
